What is a “medium”? \u00a0How do they differ from Psychics? \u00a0Can anyone be a medium?<\/p>\n

Spirit to mortal communications has been with man since the earliest recorded times of humans. \u00a0Generally speaking, a medium is a person who can communicate with spirit. \u00a0However, after reading many of the available books on spirit communications, anyone can be a medium to a certain extent. \u00a0Because of the Law of Attraction, spirits surround mortals on a daily basis. \u00a0They may be lower level spirits, or they can be of the highest, Celestial spheres, it depends on the mortal and whether the mortal can establish a “rapport” with a spirit.<\/p>\n

Some people are very sensative to spirit communication, and they can literally here spirits talking all the time. \u00a0Today there are a number of very “popular” mediums who receive large fees for their work as mediums. \u00a0There is nothing wrong with mediums charging a fee as they provide a critical service to their customers — proving that their loved ones survive after death and are around their living relatives frequently. \u00a0It brings much comfort and relief to those surviving relatives who suffer with such grief.<\/p>\n

These are just a few of the popular mediums of today, and there are hundreds, if not thousands, of more people who have mediumship gifts.<\/p>\n

What types of medium are there?<\/span><\/p>\n

There are a number of different forms or types of spiritual mediumship. They may be classified under two broad categories: either mental mediumship or physical mediumship.<\/p>\n

Mental mediumship as the term suggests relies upon the mind or mental processes for the purposes of communication with spirit beings. It may only be the individual spiritual medium of channeler who is aware of the communication, though it is possible for a number of mediums to simultaneously connect with the same spirit. Forms or types of mental mediumship include: clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience and trance mediumship.<\/p>\n

Physical mediumship involves the production of physical phenomena which can be experienced through one or more of the physical human senses by all present. Examples of physical mediumship are: transfiguration and independent or direct voice. However, there are a wide range of other physical phenomena which may be produced through physical mediumship eg: apports, materialisation, movement of objects, lights, touches.<\/p>\n
